Summer camps
Every summer, WWF-Miramare MPA – with the support of the Province of Trieste – organizes Seawatching courses for children and young people aimed at discovering the sea and its secrets in a protected environment.
The Summer Centre has a one-week duration (Monday to Friday – from 9 to 17) and it is active throughout the summer, with a new group joining it every week.
The young participants, supported by Miramare MPA staff and guides, learn to swim without disturbing marine organisms, to identify and take pictures of habitats and species, and to have fun while respecting the sea.
The course programme includes at least one daily excursion at sea and a number of eco-recreational activities related to marine biology and environmental conservation issues.
